DIVINE LEADING TO A PROSPEROUS LIFE

Passage: Genesis 12:1-9, Genesis 24:27

Knowing the right direction and/or making the right decision is probably the most challenging thing in life especially where there are uncertainties.
For instance career choice could be challenging as a youth.
Choosing whom to marry could send you to a dilemma.
Deciding whether to relocate or not, or taking a particular job.
In all of these God is always interested. Why? Because he is the architect of your life. He is your manufacturer, your creator. Whether you are born again or not, God is your Creator and He knows everything about you including what is best for you.
So in the journeys of life, there are starting points and there are destinations: what are the destinations?
1. Graduating from School
2. Getting your dream job
3. Getting married
4. Having a blissful family/home/marriage
5. Buying a car
6. Buying or building a house
7. Relocating/Migrating to a new country
Misconceptions About Divine Will
1. There is only one way to Gods will.
2. God will always choose for man. God made you in His own image so you don’t have to bother him with basic choices.
3. God will always answer all questions. God won’t answer questions He has already given you answer for.
4. God will always do all things. God will not do what a man can do.
God’s Roles in Your Life
1. To create you for His glory. Whether you are a white or dark skinned, we are created for His glory. He wants to showcase you all the time. He wants to be proud of you at all times.
Isaiah 43:7.
2. When he created you, He deposited certain abilities/potentials/talent in you. He also ensures that such abilities are within your thoughts. So if you have thought of becoming something, then you can be it. But if the thought never crossed your mind, then the chances are there God has not given such potential. Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV), “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”
3. It is God’s task to get you to the desired destination or the expected end. Jeremiah 29:11. Sometimes he the road may be rough. But no matter what, His ultimate goal is to make you and me successful in life.
4. He can reroute your path or create a way where seems to be no way. He may do this at His own discretion or on your request. For instance, he took the Children on different route to prevent them from backsliding. Exodus 13:17 (NKJV)
(Ex. 40:34–38; Num. 9:15–23; 1 Kin. 8:10, 11) “Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt. So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. Isaiah 43:19 (KJV) “Behold, I will do a new thing;
now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?
I will even make a way in the wilderness,
and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 45:11 (KJV) “Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker,
Ask me of things to come concerning my sons,
and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.” A case study was Jabez.
5. God also provide necessary trainings/skills and wisdom needed to navigate the way. He does so to keep you within His standards. For instance, He may sometimes present us with temporary poverty to teach us how to value wealth. Temporary sickness to appreciate health. Humiliate you to teach humility. 2 Corinthians 12:7 (NKJV), “And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure.”  That chronic sickness could be the thorn in your flesh. Proverbs 24:16 (KJV) “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again”
6. God sets the baseline time and opportunities. A year old cannot start driving a car. There is time and season for everything under the sun. Ecc 9:11,” I returned and saw under the sun that—The race is not to the swift,
Nor the battle to the strong,
Nor bread to the wise,
Nor riches to men of understanding,
Nor favor to men of skill;
But time and chance happen to them all.”
7. God can change times and seasons. In Daniel 2:21 (NKJV), “And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.”
PERSONAL ROLES TO A PROSPEROUS LIFE
1. It is your responsibility to have the KNOWLEDGE of God and of what or whom to become in life. Joshua 1:8. And when this happens.
2. It is your role to have or develop aspirations or vision based on your thought, knowledge and acquired or divine wisdom. If you can think it, you be it. If you can imagine it, you can become it. Your aspirations must be to add value to life. To make the world a better place. To solve people’s problems. To innovate and create opportunities for others. Your vision is more than a job title.
3. It is your responsibility to WRITE it down. DOCUMENT your vision. When you write it down, you can always refer to it as your map in the future.
4. Take your confusion/dilemma to God and seek appropriate counsel, help or support. Ask God Matthew 7:7, James 1:5;
Confusions are bound to occur including confusion about your identity, querying or doubting the existence of God,
5. It is your responsibility to keep MOVING. No room for stagnancy. Know that there are more than one way to reaching your destination successfully in life. And whatever way you choose, trust God for a lead but keep moving. Have faith in Him and in yourself. You can pick to study law instead of medicine. The final destination may just be to be the Captain of industry, governor, president, CEOs, General overseer,
6. You must be diligent and strive for mastery in your chosen path. This where talents become exceptional. The earlier you start the better. But it is never too late to start. The best time to start is when you first think of it.
7. It is your responsibility to make the final decision. To listen to God. Decision to move when God says move. God will not always choose for you. He can only guide or lead you. The choice will always be yours. And one such choices to make
